A Pair of Black Americana Uncle Moses Style Cast Iron Still Banks - This pair of cast iron still banks is designed in the form of caricatured figures identified in historical collectibles as Uncle Moses or Uncle Mose. Each figure is constructed from two cast iron halves joined by a single screw on the reverse. The figures are depicted in a standing pose with arms crossed over their chests, wearing red jackets, white vests with yellow bow ties, yellow trousers, and black shoes. A vertical coin slot is located on the upper back of each figure. No manufacturer marks, alphanumeric characters, or symbols are present on the exterior surfaces or the bases. These items are characteristic of early 20th century American cast iron novelty banks. Height: 6 inches.
