A Trio of Vintage Black Americana Folk Art Dolls - This collection consists of three vintage Black Americana dolls. The first is a handmade stuffed cloth doll with black fabric skin and attached black curly yarn hair. The facial features are stationary and embroidered, featuring white and red circular eyes and a red stitched mouth. The doll is dressed in a tan long-sleeved jacket with four white circular buttons over light blue cotton trousers and features integrated tan fabric feet. A white fabric name tape is sewn to the interior collar with the literal transcription DAVID ROTHERT. The second item is a stuffed doll made from a printed lithographed fabric pattern depicting a figure in a red polka-dot headscarf, a white apron with red rick-rack printing, and a blue and white patterned dress. The third item is a smaller stuffed doll made from a printed lithographed fabric pattern depicting a young boy in blue overalls and a red and white striped shirt holding a red apple. Both lithographed dolls feature stationary printed facial features. Handmade doll: 12 inches Large lithographed doll: 10 inches Small lithographed doll: 6 inches.
