Two Vintage Black Americana Figural Earthenware Chef Cookie Jars - This lot features two figural earthenware cookie jars modeled as chefs, attributed to the National Silver Company based on market consensus for this design. The larger jar is depicted in a cream-colored toque and coat with hand-painted blue buttons and a base featuring wide vertical blue stripes. The smaller jar is modeled with blue sleeves, a white apron, and orange trousers, shown holding a spoon with a red accent. Both items are constructed from earthenware with hand-painted details over a cream-colored glaze. These pieces are characteristic of mid-20th-century American kitchenware.
