An Assortment of Black Americana and Historical Artifacts - This collection includes various decorative and utilitarian objects featuring early to mid-20th-century depictions. Included is a painted chalkware wall plaque depicting a woman in a multi-colored headscarf. A stamped metal sign features embossed black lettering reading COLORED MEN on a white ground with mounting holes at the corners. Two vintage lithographed product tins are present for DERMIS-CURA HAIR OIL and DERMIS-CURA SCALP FOOD, both manufactured by the DRIS-KURA MFG. CO. of Atlanta, GA. Ceramic items include a chef salt shaker, a female figure salt shaker, and a ceramic bell inscribed N.W ORLEANS LA. The assembly also contains carved wooden figures; the figure wearing a top hat features an oval stamp on the base reading IDEAL. Additional items include a paper label for GOLD DUST WASHING POWDER from the Lever Brothers Company and a small painted metal cutout of a female figure in a red shirt and white apron.
