A Collection of Black Americana Ceramic Kitchen Figures and Salt and Pepper Shakers - This collection consists of ceramic decorative items and salt and pepper shakers featuring caricatured kitchen-themed figures. The group includes several pairs of chef and female figures, as well as individual figures and two female figures joined to small barrel-shaped containers intended for toothpicks or matches. The items are constructed from glazed ceramic with cold-painted details in red, black, white, and yellow. One of the barrel-holder figures bears a red triangular backstamp on the base with a stylized bowl symbol, the characters 中国制造, and the text MADE IN CHINA. The remaining items are unmarked, representing typical mid-20th-century novelty imports. Heights range from approximately 2.5 inches to 5.5 inches. Pickup is Wednesday, April 22 from 10 am to 3 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
