The group includes Great African-American Women by Darryl Lyman, a quarto-sized hardcover with dust jacket published by Jonathan David Publishers. Also present are two volumes from Chelsea House series: Madam C. J. Walker: Entrepreneur by A'Lelia Perry Bundles, featuring an introductory essay by Coretta Scott King (Black Americans of Achievement series), and Wilma Rudolph: Champion Athlete with an introductory essay by Matina S. Horner (American Women of Achievement series). The lot further includes On Her Own Ground: The Life and Times of Madam C. J. Walker by A'Lelia Bundles in hardcover with dust jacket, and a hardcover biography of Wilma Rudolph from the Olympic Gold! series. The collection is completed by a mass-market paperback edition of the novel The Color Purple by Alice Walker. The books are bound in publisher's cloth, pictorial boards, and paper wrappers. No signatures or internal inscriptions are visible from the exterior. Pickup is Wednesday, April 22 from 10 am to 3 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
