A Collection of Five Early 20th Century American Minstrelsy and Vaudeville Performance Books - This collection consists of five staple-bound paper pamphlets and brochures related to American minstrelsy and vaudeville entertainment, dating between 1924 and 1929. The group includes Ukulele Ike's Comic Song Book for the Ukulele, featuring Cliff Edwards and published by Robbins-Engel, Inc., New York (1924). Three titles are published by The Willis N. Bugbee Co. of Syracuse, New York: Ten-In-One Minstrel Collection (circa 1920s), The Big Time Minstrel Book by Arthur LeRoy Kaser (1929), and The Tip-Top Minstrel Book by Mont Hurst and others (1925). The final item is a promotional brochure titled Everything for Your Minstrel Show published by T.S. Denison and Company, Chicago, which includes advertisements for stage supplies and sample sheet music for The Minstrel Show Parade. The items feature various caricatured illustrations and portraits common to the period's entertainment marketing.
