Two Decorative Items Comprising a Folk Art Wooden Figure and a Cast Iron Wall Rack - This lot consists of two decorative objects. The first is a hand-cut wooden folk art figure, likely a component of a balancing toy or whirligig. The figure is a caricature of a man in profile, wearing a yellow and black hat and a red and white patterned shirt. It features a wire extending from the mouth tipped with a natural cork bearing a grape graphic, and a long, curved iron wire extending from the lower rear. The second item is a cast iron wall-mounted hook rack designed in a Victorian style. The rack features a central smiling face surrounded by foliate scrollwork and five integrated hooks with ball terminals. It has an applied green verdigris-style patina and two mounting holes at the upper corners. Wooden Figure: 8.5 inches wide by 7.5 inches tall Wall Rack: 11.5 inches wide.
