A Trio of Collectible Dolls Including Daddys Long Legs Katy Eegee Lester Ventriloquist Dummy and Boxed Marcie Doll - This collection features three distinct character dolls including a Daddys Long Legs Katy doll, a 1973 Lester ventriloquist dummy attributed to Eegee, and a boxed Marcie doll. The Katy doll, designed by Karen Germany for KVK, Inc., is constructed with a hand-painted wood resin head and limbs joined to a soft cloth body. It features sculpted and painted black hair with a pink fabric ribbon and stationary hand-painted eyes. The doll is dressed in its original white eyelet lace dress and matching bloomers and includes a small woven wicker basket with faux flowers. Markings include DLL © 1991 on the lower leg and a paper tag marked Daddys LONG LEGS KVK © 1992. This item is accompanied by its original cardboard box, promotional literature, and a Certificate of Authenticity signed by Karen Germany. The second doll is a character boy doll identified by web consensus as a 1973 Lester ventriloquist dummy manufactured by Eegee. The doll is composed of a vinyl head and hands with a stuffed cloth body and fabric-covered feet. It features a black synthetic curly wig and large stationary painted eyes with a side-glance expression. The mouth is painted with a distinctive horizontal line at the chin to mimic a ventriloquist dummy. The doll is dressed in a yellow corduroy jacket, a tan cloth shirt, and brown patterned trousers. The third item is A Marcie Doll housed in its original window display box. The doll is constructed of hard plastic or composition with painted hair largely obscured by an original fabric headwrap. It features stationary painted eyes and is dressed in a bright pink satin-style dress with black lace trim and a matching floral-patterned turban. The box is marked A Marcie Doll in gold-tone script.
