Tim Ashkar (American, 20th/21st Century) 'Descent from the Cross' (Signed) - This work is a framed art print on paper by Tim Ashkar, titled 'Descent from the Cross'. The composition presents a contemporary interpretation of the traditional biblical scene, featuring a diverse cast of figures primarily of African descent. The figures are arranged in a complex, multi-level composition around a central cross, utilizing ladders and draped white cloth, executed in a style that references Baroque religious painting.
