Framed World War I African American Patriotic Lithograph Colored Man Is No Slacker by E. G. Renesch 1918 - This 1918 lithographic print is titled Colored Man Is No Slacker and was published by E. G. Renesch in Chicago. The scene depicts an African American soldier in a United States Army uniform and campaign hat standing in a formal garden, holding hands with a woman in a blue dress. In the background, a large contingent of African American troops marches past, led by a soldier carrying the American flag. The foreground and midground feature blooming rose bushes and a classical white column. The print includes a printed copyright mark in the lower-left corner stating Copyright 1918 E. G. RENESCH, CHICAGO. The title is printed in bold blue capital letters at the bottom center. A faint signature is visible in the lower-right corner, partially obscured by the frame. The piece is housed in a dark-stained wood frame under glass. Approximately 18 inches (H) x 22 inches (W).
