Three Historic American Prints Including Gilbert Gaul and Bull Durham Advertising - This lot consists of three historic American paper items including one illustrative print and two pieces of tobacco-related advertising ephemera. The first item is a color lithograph titled Leaving Home by artist Gilbert Gaul (American, 1855–1919), with the signature appearing in the plate at the lower left. The scene depicts a young man in military uniform bidding farewell to his family in a late 19th-century interior. The second item is a Bull Durham Smoking Tobacco advertising print titled Without a Match, featuring a caricatured illustration of two hunters with the brand's trademark bull and a hunting dog. It includes text identifying the brand as the Standard of the World for Three Generations. The third item is a Bull Durham Smoking Tobacco advertising print titled My! It shure am Sweet Tastan, depicting a caricatured scene on a general store porch. The tobacco bag in the illustration is labeled for W.T.
