A Late 19th Century German Hamburg American Clock Company HAC Oak Mantel Clock - An antique German mantel clock by the Hamburg American Clock Company (HAC). The dark-stained oak case features an architectural design with turned columns, decorative finials, and raised wooden studs. The ornate brass dial plate is decorated with etched scrollwork and floral motifs, set behind a hinged glass door and featuring Arabic numerals with metal hands. The interior is accessed via a rear hinged wooden door, revealing a mechanical brass movement stamped with the manufacturer's three-star trademark and serial numbers 9621 and (146687). The movement is equipped with a circular wire gong and a small brass pendulum. Included is a brass winding key marked MADE IN ENGLAND, POPULAR, and PROGRESS.
