Standard Churn Company No. 3 Five-Gallon Wooden Butter Churn - This antique dash butter churn was produced by the Standard Churn Company of Wapakoneta, Ohio. Identified as a No. 3 model with a five-gallon capacity, the piece is constructed of dark-stained wooden staves arranged in a cylindrical barrel form and secured by four horizontal metal hoops. The side of the barrel features black stenciled text reading No. 3 - 5 GAL. STANDARD CHURN CO WAPAKONETA. The lot includes the circular wooden lid and the internal dash, which comprises a long, rounded handle and a cross-shaped, perforated wooden base.
