A Victorian Cornelius and Co. Cast Metal and Slag Glass Table Lamp - A Victorian-style table lamp featuring an ornate cast metal base with scrolled foliate motifs. The central column bears an oval manufacturer plaque for Cornelius and Co. Philad. with patent dates of July 24th, 1849, and April 1st, 1845. The lamp is fitted with a hexagonal slag glass shade composed of variegated green and amber panels set within a metal frame featuring a decorative fleur-de-lis border. The fixture includes a tiered arrangement for hanging faceted crystal prisms and a dual-socket assembly with pull chains. The item has been electrified and includes an aged fabric-wrapped cord.
