A Collection of Lillian Vernon Wooden Figures, Russian Matryoshka Dolls, and Ceramic Character Jugs - This collection consists of an assortment of vintage folk art and decorative ceramics. Included are several cylindrical wooden canisters hand-painted by Betsy Ross Koller for Lillian Vernon, dated 1984 and marked Handpainted in Switzerland. These figures depict various characters, including one in OU BOBCAT collegiate attire. The lot features a set of Russian matryoshka nesting dolls with red floral decoration, bearing a 1969 factory label from Semenov, USSR. Also present is a hand-carved wooden figurine of a chimney sweep with a ladder, bearing the ANRI hallmark on the base. The ceramic items include a figural vase designed by Susan Paley for the Ganz Bella Casa Arlene collection and several character jugs marked Made in Japan. Pickup is Thursday, March 19, from from Noon to 3 pm at the home in Athens, OH or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
