Hull Pottery Bow-Knot Matte Glaze Vase and Ewer - A pair of mid-century American art pottery pieces produced by the Hull Pottery Company of Crooksville, Ohio, in the Bow-Knot pattern, introduced circa 1949. The set includes a large two-handled vase and a scrolled ewer. Both pieces are crafted from earthenware with a matte velvet glaze and feature relief-molded floral sprays and large bows. The decoration is finished with a hand-applied airbrushed stipple technique in a pastel palette of soft blue, mint green, pink, and yellow over a cream ground. The vase is designed with a ruffled rim and scrolled handles on a fluted pedestal base, embossed on the bottom U.S.A. HULL ART 318 - 8 1/2. The ewer features a high-arched loop handle and an asymmetric scrolled spout, embossed on the base U.S.A. HULL ART B1 - 5 1/2. Vase height: 8.5 inches. Ewer height: 5.5 inches.
