Weller Drapery Pattern Planter and Wall Pocket - A pair of American art pottery vessels manufactured by the Weller Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio, in the Drapery pattern. This set comprises a rectangular trough planter and a coordinating wall pocket. Each piece is composed of earthenware finished in a matte blue glaze with a dark wash applied to the recesses to accentuate the relief-molded vertical ribbing. The items are decorated with hand-painted floral sprays featuring pink roses and yellow-green foliage. The trough planter is designed with a divided interior containing five sections for floral arrangements. The wall pocket features a tapered, cone-shaped form with a flat reverse and an integrated mounting hole. The base of the planter is marked with an impressed block-letter WELLER and hand-incised factory markings. Planter: 15 inches long. Wall pocket: 8.5 inches high. Burns in-house shipping is available.
