Bidspirit auction | A Pair of American Art
A Pair of American Art Pottery Dahlrose Pattern Vases - This pair of earthenware art pottery vases is attributed to the Roseville Pottery Company in the Dahlrose pattern, which was originally introduced in 1928. Each vessel is designed in a tapered urn form featuring two small, square-set handles at the shoulder and a flared pedestal base. The decorative program consists of a molded relief band of yellow daisy-like blossoms with green foliage, hand-tinted over a heavily textured, mottled matte glaze in shades of terracotta, tan, and brown. A blue-green wash provides accenting to the rim, handles, and base. The undersides are unmarked, consistent with production runs that originally featured paper labels rather than impressed or raised marks. Dimensions: Each approximately 7 inches in height.
