Hull Pottery Pines Pattern Planter and Vase - A pair of American art pottery vessels produced by Hull Pottery in the Pines pattern, introduced in the late 1940s. The set consists of a large rectangular trough-form planter and a cylindrical handled vase. Both pieces are crafted from glazed earthenware featuring a high-gloss turquoise ground with a vertical fluted texture. The relief-molded decoration depicts stylized brown pine branches with clusters of pinkish-peach needles finished in a textured matte glaze. Both items feature decorative scalloped rims and bases. The vase is further accented by two ornate, angular handles designed to resemble stylized branches. The undersides of both pieces bear the incised script mark Hull Art U.S.A. The planter is marked with model number L-8 and the vase is marked L-1. Planter: 12 inches length. Vase: 8.5 inches height. Burns in-house shipping is available.
