Zanesville Pottery Ming Tree Style Bowl and Ashtray - A Zanesville Pottery earthenware bowl and ashtray set featuring a glossy turquoise blue glaze with fine craquelure throughout. The pieces are decorated in high relief with a stylized nature motif consisting of hand-colored gnarled brown branches ending in textured, off-white clusters in the Ming Tree style. The bowl's interior features a pale seafoam green transition. The ashtray is of a square form with an undulating ruffled rim and four molded cigarette rests, while the bowl is a deep circular form set on a short, flared foot ring. The underside of the ashtray is impressed Zanesville USA 599, and the bowl is impressed with a similar, partially obscured Zanesville mark; both pieces feature a handwritten black X on the base. Bowl diameter approximately 9.5 inches; Ashtray approximately 6.5 inches square. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Thursday, April 30 from 11 am to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
