Two Pieces of American Art Pottery including Weller Gloria Vase and Roseville Planter - A collection of two vintage American art pottery vessels. The first is a tall earthenware vase attributed to Weller Pottery from the Gloria line, circa 1930. The piece features a flared neck and a bulbous base decorated with embossed pomegranates and trailing vines in shades of reddish-purple and green against a mottled tan and yellow matte ground. The second item is a footed console bowl or planter by Roseville Pottery, marked U.S.A. 812-7 on the underside. It is finished in a matte turquoise glaze with a scalloped rim and features a molded relief scene depicting a sailboat on water with a landscape background. Both pieces represent the popular matte-glazed aesthetics of the early to mid-20th century American pottery industry. Weller vase measures approximately 8 inches in height; Roseville planter measures approximately 7 inches in height. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pick up is Thursday, April 30 from 11 am to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
