Roseville Art Pottery Bleeding Heart Pattern Blue Matte Glaze Vase - A large American art pottery vessel produced by the Roseville Pottery Company of Zanesville, Ohio, in the Bleeding Heart pattern, introduced circa 1940. The vase features a tall, tapered form with a flared, scalloped rim and two distinctive angular buttress handles at the base. It is finished in a shaded blue matte glaze with a soft pink blush to the midsection. The exterior is decorated in raised relief with trailing branches of heart-shaped flowers and green foliage. The underside displays an impressed mark reading Roseville USA along with a shape number, likely 971-12, which is partially obscured by the glaze. Approximately 12.5 inches in height.
