** High Standard Model H-D Military Semi-Automatic Pistol .22 Long Rifle with 4.5 Inch Barrel 1950 - The High Standard Model H-D Military is a blowback-operated semi-automatic target pistol chambered for .22 Long Rifle. This example features a 4.5-inch round barrel and a blued steel construction. The receiver and slide are finished in a factory blue that exhibits handling wear and areas of light surface pitting consistent with age. The pistol is fitted with two-piece checkered walnut grips secured by two screws per side. Aiming is accomplished via a fixed front blade sight and a windage-adjustable rear notch sight mounted on the slide. Key markings include the model designation HI-STANDARD and MODEL H-D MILITARY stamped on the left side of the slide. The left side of the frame is marked MADE IN U.S.A. / THE HIGH STANDARD MFG. CO. / NEW HAVEN. CONN. / PATENT PENDING / .22 CAL. / LONG RIFLE. The serial number 270280 is stamped on the right side of both the slide and the frame. In house shipping is available.
