Thompson Center Arms Hawken Percussion Rifle .50 Caliber with 27 Inch Barrel - This is a Thompson Center Arms Hawken percussion muzzleloading rifle chambered in .50 caliber. It is configured with a 27-inch octagonal barrel featuring a blued finish and a wooden ramrod with brass tips secured beneath the barrel. The rifle is equipped with a double-set trigger assembly and a side-lock action with an engraved lock plate and hammer. The furniture includes a dark hardwood half-stock with a cheekpiece, a blued steel scrolled trigger guard, and a crescent buttplate. Sights consist of a fixed blade at the front and an adjustable buckhorn-style rear sight. Key markings include the manufacturer and location on the top barrel flat, specify ”THOMPSON | CENTER ARMS ROCHESTER, NEW HAMPSHIRE”, and the caliber designation ”CAL 50”. The left side of the barrel is stamped with the serial number ”108506”. This item is either black powder or manufactured in or before 1898 (and does not take readily available ammunition), and thus does not require an FFL or background check.
