Marantz Model 2235 Stereophonic Receiver - A Marantz Model 2235 stereophonic receiver, a classic piece of mid-1970s high-fidelity audio equipment. The unit is housed in a wood-grain vinyl laminate cabinet featuring a brushed aluminum faceplate with a silver-tone finish. It utilizes an analog slide-rule tuning dial with blue-tinted illumination and a horizontal Gyro-Touch Tuning thumbwheel for AM and FM radio bands. The front control layout includes a selector knob for AM, FM, Phono, Tape 2, and Aux inputs, alongside dedicated knobs for bass, mid, treble, and volume. A horizontal slider manages channel balance. Push-button switches provide control for Dolby FM, Tape 1 Monitor, mono mode, high filter, loudness compensation, FM muting, and selection of Main or Remote speaker systems. Front-panel connectivity includes dubbing in/out and headphone jacks. The rear panel is equipped with RCA inputs for phono and auxiliary sources, as well as tape loops and pre-out/main-in jumpers. Speaker outputs consist of sets of spring-loaded terminals. Additional rear features include AM and FM antenna terminals, an FM quadradial output, a chassis ground post, and two AC accessory outlets (one switched, one unswitched). The rear identification plate specifies the unit as Model 2235, serial number 13809, designed in the United States and produced in Japan. Burns in-house shipping is available.
