A Pair of 1916 Ohio Porcelain Enamel License Plates - This lot features a matching pair of automobile license plates issued by the state of Ohio for the 1916 registration year. The plates are constructed of steel with a porcelain enamel finish. The design consists of a dark field with contrasting cream-colored lettering and numerals. On the left side of each plate, the state name OHIO is positioned above the year 1916. The vehicle registration number 145496 is centered and spans the majority of the plate's width. The plates are flat with rounded corners and feature mounting slots at the top and holes at the corners. These two plates are currently joined together at the mounting points by wire rings. The reverse side of each plate is a dark, non-reflective finish. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Thursday, May 28 from 11 am to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
