A Pair of 1937 Ohio Embossed Metal License Plates - A matching pair of vintage automotive license plates from the state of Ohio, dated 1937. The plates are constructed of embossed metal featuring a white background and red painted characters and borders. The registration number consists of a large numeral 1 followed by a centered dot and the letter Y. Along the bottom margin, the plates are embossed with the text OHIO - 1937. Each plate is rectangular with rounded corners and contains a group of mounting holes, two at the top and two at the bottom. The two plates are currently joined at the bottom mounting holes by thin metal wire clips. The reverse side of each plate displays the negative impressions of the embossed lettering and a uniform white finish. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Thursday, May 28 from 11 am to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
