A Pair of 1922 Ohio Passenger Vehicle License Plates - This lot features a pair of matching embossed steel passenger vehicle license plates issued by the state of Ohio for the year 1922. The plates are finished in a white background with black embossed alphanumeric characters, which was the standard color scheme for that year. Each plate displays the registration number 564.664 in large embossed digits across the center. Below the main number, the plates bear the embossed text OHIO-1922. The plates are rectangular and include two horizontal mounting slots at the top and four circular mounting holes, one in each corner. The two plates are currently linked together by small wire loops through the mounting holes. The reverse of each plate shows the negative relief of the embossed lettering and numbering on a clean, uniform surface. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Thursday, May 28 from 11 am to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
