1944 Ohio Passenger Vehicle License Plate - This is a single vintage passenger vehicle license plate from the state of Ohio, dated 1944. During World War II, metal conservation efforts in the United States typically resulted in states issuing only one plate per vehicle instead of a pair. The plate is constructed of embossed metal with a dark blue background and white painted details. The registration number 27 NR is centered in large embossed characters separated by a central dot. The lower portion of the plate features the state name and year embossed as OHIO - 1944. A white border frames the entire plate. Four mounting holes are positioned at the corners. The reverse side is finished in the same blue paint and displays the mirrored relief of the front embossing. 12 inches x 6 inches. Burns in-house shipping is available.
