A Matching Pair of 1948 Ohio Embossed Metal License Plates - A matching pair of vintage embossed metal license plates from the state of Ohio, dated 1948. These plates are constructed of heavy-gauge metal and feature a classic yellow background with black embossed lettering and a black border. The face of each plate is embossed with the license number 671·LB and the text OHIO - 1948 along the bottom edge. The plates remain joined together by wire loops through the mounting holes. The reverse sides show the corresponding negative embossing and exhibit a textured pattern in the yellow finish, consistent with regional manufacturing processes of the era. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Thursday, May 28 from 11 am to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
