These plates feature a black background with embossed cream-colored characters and a matching perimeter border. The registration number is Z 892 A. The bottom line reads 1949 - OHIO. The plates are distinguished by a grid-patterned waffle texture across the surface, a feature characteristic of Ohio license plates from this era. They are constructed of aluminum.
