A Pair of Original 1918 Ohio Embossed Metal License Plates - This lot features a matching pair of original vintage 1918 Ohio license plates, bearing the registration number 284817. The plates are manufactured from embossed metal with a dark green background and characters finished in an off-white or cream-colored paint. Each plate includes a raised perimeter border in the same off-white color. On the right-hand side of the registration number is an embossed circular monogram containing the letters O, H, I, and O arranged vertically and horizontally. Directly below this monogram is the embossed year 1918. Each plate is designed with horizontal mounting slots at the top and four circular mounting holes, one in each corner. These plates are in original, unrestored condition. The reverse side of each plate is painted in the same dark green color as the front. The two plates are currently held together by a length of wire threaded through the mounting holes. Approximate dimensions: 14.25 x 6 inches. Burns in-house shipping is available.
