A Pair of 1929 Pennsylvania Embossed Metal License Plates - This lot consists of a matching pair of original embossed metal automobile license plates issued by the state of Pennsylvania. Each plate features a dark blue field with orange-painted embossed numerals and a matching border. The top center of each plate is marked with the year 1929 and the state abbreviation PENNA. Embossed keystone symbols flank the state name and year. The plates display the serial number 701-347. The two plates are joined together by wire through the mounting holes. The reverse side of the plates shows a mottled blue finish with reverse embossing of the front-facing characters. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Thursday, May 28 from 11 am to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
