Vintage Ohio Stamped Metal License Plates 1937 and 1938 - This lot consists of vintage automotive license plates from the state of Ohio dating to the late 1930s. The first plate is a 1937 issue featuring the embossed registration number 3609-S and the legend OHIO - 1937 along the bottom edge. This plate retains some of its original dark maroon paint on the raised characters against a tan-colored background. The second plate is a 1938 issue featuring the embossed registration number N-612-B and the legend OHIO - 1938 along the bottom edge. Both plates are constructed from stamped steel with a group of mounting holes at the corners and rounded edges. These items represent standard passenger vehicle issues for their respective years. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Thursday, May 28 from 11 am to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
