A collection of Vintage Chevrolet and Buick Automotive Ephemera and Advertising - A collection of vintage automotive ephemera and collectibles primarily focused on mid-century Chevrolet models, with additional technical material relating to Buick. The lot features a group of manuals and reference booklets, including a softbound 1957 Passenger Car and Truck Accessories Installation Reference Manual published by the Chevrolet Motor Division. The group contains owners guides: two copies of the 1957 Guide to your New Chevrolet and one copy of the 1959 Guide to your New Chevrolet. Technical documentation includes a large format, double sided 1957 Chevrolet Chassis Wiring diagram reprinted by Electric Limited Inc. Of Justice, Illinois, which provides schematics for the dash, chassis, and air conditioning systems. Three embossed metal signs are included: a 1957 Quality sign with a red Bel Air Sport Coupe, a Chevrolet bowtie logo sign with the text Powered for Performance / Engineered for Economy, and a 1955 Chevrolet pricing sign detailing MSRP for the One-Fifty, Two-Ten, and Bel Air models. The collection further includes a group of magazine advertisements and periodical clippings, many of which are housed in a black ring binder within plastic sleeves. Highlights include a 1957 Saturday Evening Post color advertisement titled Chevy puts the purr in performance, a 1941 Successful Farming advertisement, and features on the 1953 and 1954 Bel Air and the 1962 Corvair and Corvette. One clipping details the Buick Vacuum Ventilator system. Small ephemera and restoration components comprise a group of decals in original packaging from C&P Chevrolet of Kulpsville, Pennsylvania, including radiator coolant and oil filter decals.
