An Assortment of Vintage American Advertising Food and Beverage Packaging Ephemera, Circa 1930s-1960s - This collection of American advertising ephemera consists of printed paper and cardboard packaging and promotional materials from the mid-20th century. The group includes items representing Kentucky Fried Chicken: a large car litter bag featuring an early illustration of Colonel Sanders with the slogan it is finger lickin good and a smaller paper bag with the red Colonel Sanders head logo alongside red and white vertical stripes. Circus memorabilia is represented by a colorful Ringling Brothers Barnum and Bailey Circus popcorn bag depicting a clown and balloons. Popcorn packaging also includes two-color blue and tan cardboard boxes featuring the text Eat French Fried Pop Corn, with an example marked Copyright 1937 by N. C. Co., and a paper bag for Pops-Rite Beehive Hybrid Popcorn. Snack food items include a five-cent Guest Potato Chips paper bag from Sheboygan, Wisconsin, featuring a graphic of a young girl, and a wrapper for a Swift's Frozen Stick Confection. The collection also contains a die-cut cardboard Christmas-themed bottle neck hanger for 7-Up and a paper car litter bag from Sohio (Standard Oil of Ohio) featuring a Keep Ohio Beautiful message with a map of the state. A group of pieces are professionally presented on white backing boards within clear protective sleeves. Burns in-house shipping is available.
