A collection of Mid-20th-Century Framed American Food and Beverage Advertising Ephemera - This lot features a collection of pieces of mid-20th-century American paper ephemera, primarily unused commercial packaging and advertising labels. The group includes a Coca-Cola vertical banner with the classic script logo and a Pepsi-Cola strip featuring the slogan say Pepsi, please. Fast food history is represented by a Kentucky Fried Chicken carton panel with Colonel Sanders, marked COPYRIGHT 1954 BY HARLAND SANDERS, and a McDonald's fragment featuring the early Speedee mascot holding an IM SPEEDEE sign. Other items include a Chocolate Soldier flavored beverage label, two distinct styles of flat popcorn containers (one with a drum majorette and one with a clown and children), a Dandy brand label, a green TODAY card, and a white card titled CITY OF THE GAULS HISTORIC FRENCH SETTLEMENT 1790. A group of pieces are preserved in clear protective sleeves. The collection is mounted on a black mat and housed in a black-finished wooden frame behind glass.
