A collection of Texaco Fire Chief Advertising Collectibles Including a Promotional Speaker Hat and Licensed Reproduction Tin Signs - This collection includes a vintage promotional fire chief speaker hat and an assortment of lithographed metal advertising signs. The red molded plastic helmet was produced by Brown and Bigelow and features a white shield-shaped front emblem with a gold-toned border. The emblem displays the Texaco logo with a red star and green T alongside the text Texaco Fire Chief. The center of the emblem is perforated to accommodate an integrated speaker system. The interior contains a black plastic adjustable suspension system, a black plastic chin strap, and is embossed with the manufacturer mark Brown and Bigelow St. Paul, Minn. U.S.A. 1. The assortment of tin signs consists of modern licensed reproductions of mid-20th-century Texaco advertisements. The subjects include a fire engine for 3.98 dollars, a fire chief speaker hat for 3.98 dollars, Fire Chief Gasoline, and a jet fuel truck for 4.98 dollars. The reverse of the signs is marked Made in China Exclusively for R and B Collectibles and Marketing 1998 with a Texaco Licensed Product logo. A sign also bears the mark Andy Rooney Inc Made in USA 1992 on the lower front edge. Each sign measures approximately 8 inches by 11.5 inches. Burns in-house shipping is available.
