Vintage Auto Racing Programs for Funk's Speedway and Dayton Big Car Races 1947 - This lot consists of vintage auto racing programs from July 1947. The first program is for Auto Races at Funk's Speedway in Winchester, Indiana, dated July 13, 1947. The cover features a graphic illustration of race cars and the AAA logo. The interior includes advertisements for local businesses including Homer J. Waltz Main Store and Paul Abel Motors, and an In Memoriam section for drivers Elbert Booker and Clay Corbitt. This program contains extensive handwritten notations in blue ink recording driver names, car makes, and time trial results. A handwritten personal inscription is present on the front cover. The second program is for Big Car Races in Dayton, Ohio, dated July 27, 1947, featuring a typographic cover printed in red. Both items are constructed of paper with stapled bindings. 7 x 5 inches.
