A Collection of Powell Speedway Big Car Auto Racing Programs and Ephemera - A collection of mid-20th-century printed paper programs and related ephemera for Big Car Auto Races held at Powell Speedway in Powell, Ohio. The events were sanctioned by the Contest Board of the Central States Racing Association (CSRA). The programs feature period typography and advertisements for various local businesses including Schmidt's Montrose Brand, The Pure Oil Co., Pepsi-Cola, and Meisner Baking Company. Internal pages contain lists of participating drivers, their residences, and car entries such as Offy, Hal Spl., Miller Spl., and Wilson Ranger. pages include contemporary handwritten notations in pencil recording qualifying times and race results. The programs include sections for time trials and various elimination races, including Australian Pursuit and Feature races. Large booklet width: approximately 6 inches Small booklet width: approximately 4 inches. Pickup is Wednesday, April 22 from 10 am to 3 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
