A Collection of Heidelberg Raceway Midget Auto Racing Ephemera - A collection of mid-20th-century midget auto racing ephemera from Heidelberg Raceway in Heidelberg, Pennsylvania. The group includes a printed handbill for a 100-lap National Championship main event, featuring race records for drivers Wally Stokes and Chuck Greenlee and advertisement for an appearance by The White Horse Troupe. Also included is a souvenir envelope with a black-and-white illustration of a midget race car, addressed to Columbus, Ohio, and bearing a 1 1/2 cent United States postage stamp. The collection further contains a reserved seat grandstand ticket dated Friday, July 23, 1948, for Section E, Row H, Seat 29, priced at $2.00 and signed by David J. Wright. A paper signage strip printed in red ink reads HEIDELBERG RACEWAY PRESS - PARKING. A small green paper slip with handwritten names and addresses from Detroit, Michigan, and Macon, Georgia, is also present.
