Vintage circa 1950 Automotive Racing Helmet - The shell is constructed from a textured, blue-painted composite material, likely vulcanized fiber. It features a rounded crown and a stiffened front brim reinforced with a wire rim secured by metal staples. The interior contains a leather liner with an integrated adjustable chin strap and buckle, supported by a canvas webbing suspension system. No manufacturer marks or date stamps are visible on the exterior or interior surfaces. Pickup is Wednesday, April 22 from 10 am to 3 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
