A Collection of Ohio State Championship Motorcycle Racing Programs and Ephemera, 1951-1954 - This collection consists of printed programs and related ephemera for the Ohio State Championship Motorcycle Races held at the Ohio State Fair Grounds in Columbus, Ohio. The group includes programs for the Third Annual (1951), Fourth Annual (1952), Fifth Annual (1953), and Sixth Annual (1954) events. The races were sponsored by Camp Chase Post No. 98 of the American Legion and the Golden Arrow Motorcycle Club. The programs feature profiles of notable racers including Bobby Hill and Dick Klamfoth, alongside lists of entrants for expert, amateur, and novice classes. A significant portion of the collection features extensive contemporary handwritten annotations in pencil and ink, recording race times, finish positions, and additional rider names. Accompanying the programs are black Kodak Super-XX film pack paper tabs (numbered 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 12) and index cards, all bearing handwritten notations related to race results and photography settings. Pickup is Wednesday, April 22 from 10 am to 3 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
