Both coins are legal tender with a face value of two dollars and are struck in one troy ounce of .999 fine silver. The first coin, dated 2020, depicts the bounty hunter Boba Fett on the reverse in a battle-ready pose with his blaster rifle. The second coin, dated 2019, depicts Darth Vader on the reverse holding a lightsaber. Both reverse designs include the New Zealand Mint mark NZM, the Southern Cross constellation, and the inscriptions 1 oz 999 Fine Silver and Lucasfilm Ltd copyright and trademark symbols. The obverses of both coins feature the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Queen Elizabeth II, with inscriptions reading ELIZABETH II, NIUE, TWO DOLLARS, and the respective year dates.
