This collection consists of multiple United States two-dollar banknotes, including one Series 1953 United States Note and several Series 2003A Federal Reserve Notes. The Series 1953 note features red serial numbers and a red Treasury seal, designated with serial number A 26957733 A. This note bears the signatures of Treasurer Ivy Baker Priest and Secretary of the Treasury G.M. Humphrey. The obverse displays a portrait of Thomas Jefferson, and the reverse depicts his estate, Monticello. The Series 2003A notes (Friedberg 1938-A) are from the Boston Federal Reserve District and feature green seals and serial numbers. These notes include sequential pairs with serial numbers A 04995687 A through A 04995688 A and A 04711690 A through A 04711691 A. They carry the signatures of Treasurer Anna Escobedo Cabral and Secretary of the Treasury John W. Snow. The reverse of these notes features a vignette of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The collection is presented in retail packaging from the Littleton Coin Company and includes a certificate of authenticity from the First Commemorative Mint for the 1953 note.Pickup is Friday May 1 from Noon to 3 pm at our facility in Lancaster, OH.
