A Collection of Vintage Ohio and Novelty Miniature License Plates, 1949-1989 - This collection consists of items, including a group of full-sized license plates and miniature novelty plates. The full-sized plates are primarily from the state of Ohio and represent various registration periods. The group includes a black and yellow 1949 passenger plate (105•WF), a black and yellow 1949 truck plate (4•SB•43), a matching pair of yellow and black 1950 passenger plates (887•WE), and a silver-toned 1953 embossed commemorative plate featuring a map of Ohio and an American Indian profile inscribed THE K PLAINS. Also included are a brown and white 1954 plate (V•644•R), a matching pair of green and white 1961 passenger plates (X•592•S), two matching white and red 1965 passenger plates (45780), a yellow and black 1971 passenger plate (45780), and a blue and yellow 1972 passenger plate (45780). The three miniature novelty plates comprise a red 1980 Missouri plate inscribed SUPER in its original plastic packaging, a 1989 Kentucky plate inscribed HORSIN', and a 1989 Idaho plate inscribed MASH 'EM. The plates are constructed of stamped and painted metal. Full-sized plates: 12 inches x 6 inches Total spread width: Approximately 33 inches. Burns in-house shipping is available. Pickup is Thursday, May 28 from 11 am to 7 pm at our gallery in Lancaster, Ohio 43130 or we will provide in-house shipping for this item.
