A Collection of Military and Numismatic Reference Books. Various Publishers, 1963-1965. (DJ) - An assortment of reference works focused on American military history and numismatics. The collection comprises hardcover volumes and softcover publications. The first hardcover is The American Bayonet 1776-1964 by Albert N. Hardin Jr., published by Riling and Lentz, Philadelphia, 1964 (Library of Congress 64-66417). It is bound in cloth and retains its original red illustrated dust jacket. The second hardcover is American Military Insignia 1800–1851 by J. Duncan Campbell and Edgar M. Howell, published as Smithsonian Institution United States National Museum Bulletin 235, Washington, D.C., 1963. It features grey cloth boards with an embossed Smithsonian seal on the front board. The softcover items include Patriotic Civil War Tokens, Third Revised Edition, by George and Melvin Fuld, published by Whitman Publishing Company, 1965; and a 1963 edition of United States Canadian and Confederate Paper Money (alternately titled Catalogue of United States Canadian and Confederate Currency on the title page), edited and published by Robert Werlich and distributed by Quaker Currency Company.
