Collection of Vintage Midwest and Southwest Ephemera, Stereoviewer, and Scrapbooks - An extensive collection of early to mid-20th-century ephemera and historical collectibles focused primarily on the American Midwest and Southwest. The lot includes hundreds of postcards featuring topographical view cards from Ohio (Bremen, Athens, Columbus, Canaanville, Beaumont), Iowa (Dubuque), Alaska (Mt. McKinley), and the Southwest (Grand Canyon, Phoenix). The postcard collection further contains holiday, birthday, and humorous greeting cards, alongside ethnographic subjects including a Fred Harvey series card featuring San Ildefonso potters Julian and Maria Martinez. distinct scrapbooks are present: a green fabric-bound album with an embossed red thistle and arch design containing central Ohio postcards and photography, and one wooden-covered souvenir scrapbook from the Grand Canyon featuring a hand-painted motif, a cord tie binding, and internal contents including a Fred Harvey Illustrated Map of the Great Southwest and newspaper clippings regarding Arizona agriculture from the late 1940s. A handheld wooden and metal stereoviewer is included, identified by an embossed logo on the aluminum hood featuring a buck in a landscape and the text MONARCH. Accompanying the viewer is a group of stereoview cards from publishers such as the Keystone View Company and T.W. Ingersoll, depicting the Grand Canyon, Paris, and Hawaii. Additional ephemera highlights include a 1908 political campaign card for David Eley of Ashland County, Ohio; a 1976 Topps Tug McGraw baseball card; a cloth Boy Scouts of America National Council insignia printed on cotton; and an antique cardboard Atlas Spices stick cinnamon box from the Woolson Spice Company of Toledo, Ohio. A large-format black and white portrait of a family on a porch, mounted on cardstock, and various silver gelatin snapshots are also included. Burns in-house shipping is available.
