A Group of Four Framed Folk Art Items including Guna Mola Textiles and Polish Wycinanki Papercuts - This lot consists of four pieces of framed folk art, comprising two Guna mola textiles from Panama and two Polish Wycinanki papercuts. The molas are created using reverse applique and hand-stitched embroidery on multi-layered cotton fabric. One depicts a pair of owls on a red ground, and the other shows a stylized crab, fish, and birds on a black ground. Both are housed in black wooden frames with gold-tone accents. The Polish Wycinanki artworks feature intricate, multi-colored layered paper in symmetrical circular compositions. The motifs include roosters and floral patterns in the traditional Łowicz style. They are presented in silver-toned metal frames. A pencil inscription reading Sylvia is visible on the reverse of one papercut frame. Mola frames: 16 x 16 inches Papercut frames: 15.25 x 15.25 inches. You must come pay, load and remove during the pickup window of Friday, June 5 from 11 am to 4 pm at the home in Canal Winchester, OH. No exceptions! You don’t have to take it all, just what you want.
